MJWC was started in 1961 as a social and service club. Although we have grown and changed to meet the needs of our members, our mission is still the same...give service to the community and promote the intellectual, cultural and educational interests of our members. Each year the women of MJWC host a fundraiser called an "Evening at the Casino" to benefit a local woman/child centered organization. In the past we have raised funds for Habitat for Humanity, The Boys & Girls Club of Dane County and Transitional Housing, Inc. as well as other deserving organizations. Each of our members chooses a committee for this major fundraiser that fits her talents and time.
